Home of Hope Touched My Heart
Guy and Martha Davidson invited Richard and I to join them at their table at the 2006 Teen Challenge Banquet. This was
our introduction to the Home of Hope. It immediately touched my heart. When I was in a similar situation as a
young woman, there was no place for me to go. I was constantly exposed to excessive alcohol and violence for the first
32 years of my life. Since that time, my life has been blessed and I am so thankful for this. When I first visited
the Home of Hope in Casa Grande I was able to relate to these young women. I wanted to help in some wasy to keep it
open and later when I learned they needed to fence the children's playground so that the small children could go outside
and play safely, I decided this was a need I could work to provide. I immediately began to organize a charity golf tournament
to raise the needed funds. But I soon began to realize that it was not enough, so I added a raffle and silent auction
to bring in more money. I know that God directed my every move. Thankfully the event was successful and we were
able to raise enough to build the playground fence and also provide some cribs for the babies that were needed. I am
so thankful for all those that helped me accomplish this need and as always God answered my prayers. I will continue
to visit Home of Hope and pray that I can do more with the help of the Lord. Nancy M. Loyd Sun Lakes, AZ
